In 1996, Brigitte de Cuyper opened a shop in Montmartre devoted entirely to angels. She still runs it.

“She transports us to a world full of gentleness and kindness where the angel is king.”
18 Les Nouvelles, March 2026 (translated from French)
“You go in for an object, you come out lighter.”
Nadine Adam, Prestige’S, 28 November 2025 (translated from French)
“In this world of angels, there are no scams, no arrogance.”
Nadine Adam, Prestige’S, 28 November 2025 (translated from French)
A place, a symbol
The premises were a gift from her father. Antiques and bric-a-brac used to be sold there. Brigitte created the shop there “in her forties”, around “a lovely theme, with a symbol behind it” (Prestige’S, 2025, translated from French).
Everyone reads this symbol in their own way: a messenger, a guardian, a smile. Here, the angel takes every form: figurines, cameos, postcards, pictures, books, incense.
“The righteous promise little and do much; people without faith promise much and do not even do a little.”
After the Talmud, Baba Metzia 87a
“The source of sadness is pride, when a man thinks that everything is owed to him.”
Baal Shem Tov

Brigitte’s welcome
As early as 2003, Le Parisien spoke of her “welcome with Flemish inflections” (translated from French). Customers, for their part, describe it in their own words.
Some have been coming for twenty or twenty-five years. Others arrive from far away, many from Japan. They describe a place “out of time”, “a little corner of paradise”, “a hidden gem” at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur. They also talk about gifts “wrapped with love”.
In the press and on television

The foreign press has taken an interest too, from Germany to the United States, by way of Japan.
And today
The shop is still waiting for you on rue Yvonne Le Tac, every day. Regulars find their angels again, travellers discover them. And some of these angels are still born on site, in the workshop, cast and painted by hand.
